Periodontal (gum) disease presents few or no symptoms in the early stage. Left untreated, though, this bacterial infection can severely damage smiles. How does LANAP work?

As gum disease worsens, gums separate from teeth, and pockets form where bacteria flourish. Without intervention, you’ll likely experience significant damage to gum tissue, bone degeneration, and — ultimately — tooth loss. Your dentist will use a PerioLase laser to remove diseased matter without damaging healthy tissue. Following laser periodontal therapy, gum tissue regenerates and reattaches to the tooth for a strong, healthy, and comfortable smile.
