Great news! Lake Nona Dental Implants and Periodontics is now open again to continue treating all of your Periodontal and Dental Implant needs. Our goal, as always, is to provide our patients and our team with a safe, comfortable dental home.
As we have always done, we will continue to adhere to strict universal precautions methods for disinfection, sterilization and sanitation, recommended by the regulatory agencies. Infection control and the safety and health of our patients and team members have always been a top priority of our practice!
Infection control protocol that we have ALWAYS practiced, and will continue to do it:
- Proper hand washing;
- Wear of necessary Personal Protective Equipment;
- Sterilization and Disinfection of ALL Instruments and Equipment used in your care;
- Disposable items are of single use and are properly disposed after used on you;
- Sanitation and Disinfection of treatment rooms (countertops, chairs, lamps, etc.) after every procedure/exam;
- Common areas are also cleaned with proper disinfectant solution regularly.
Here are some new things (besides our regular infection control protocol) that we are doing, to ensure your safety during this time:
- Have less chairs in the waiting room to keep social distance from other patients;
- We ask please do not bring non-essential additional people to your appointments;
- If you prefer you may wait in your car to be called for treatment: just give us a call when you arrive, and let us know that you are in the car waiting, we will call/text you when we are ready to take you to the treatment room;
- If you don’t want to fill out patients’ forms in the office, you can complete some of them on the patient portal, please ask us to send you the link before your visit.
It is imperative that you don’t delay your treatment, including preventive such as Periodontal Maintenance (“cleaning”). Delaying treatment and preventives, will cause more problems to your oral health, and increase the amount of treatment needed in the future.
Please remember researches have shown that missing teeth can cause adjacent teeth loss, and Periodontitis (Gum Disease) can lead to other health issues, besides tooth loss. The bacteria responsible for Periodontitis can enter your bloodstream through gum tissue and increase the risks for other health problems, such as: Respiratory Disease, Coronary Artery Disease, Stroke, difficult controlling Diabetes, and more. Make sure your gums are healthy! Especially in times like this of global pandemic, it is important to be in good health!
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office for more information, and to schedule your next appointment, if you don’t have one yet: (407) 535-9802

We look forward to seeing your smiles!
